Stop Being Hard On Yourself - MK & NG - Landscape.png

A 4-week online program with Mavis Karn & Nikon Gormley that will help you take charge of your mental health when it comes to self-criticism, overthinking, and perfectionism—so you can create success with more ease, clarity, and peace of mind.

What is it about?

Would you like to transform your relationship with being hard on yourself?

For many of us, self-criticism feels like the only way to succeed. It’s how we try to push ourselves forward, avoid failure, and get things done. But at what cost? Stress, overthinking, anxiety, and that constant feeling of never being quite enough.

The truth is, we’re hard on ourselves because we don’t see how well we’re already made. We don’t realize we don’t need to push ourselves so hard to do well—we’re naturally built to thrive.

This March, I invite you to join Nikon Gormley and I for a live online course inspired by my book It’s That Simple: A User’s Manual for Human Beings. Together, we’ll explore something that has the power to change everything: the fact that you are wonderfully made and divinely engineered for success.

You’ll gain a fresh understanding of why self-criticism isn’t necessary to do well, and how not being so concerned about how you are doing is actually a good thing!

As you see this for yourself, something shifts. Self-criticism starts to fade away—not because you’re trying to stop it, but because it simply doesn’t make sense anymore. You’ll find yourself achieving more, feeling clearer, and thriving with far less mental effort and stress.

This course isn’t about fixing anything. It’s about discovering what’s already True: you are built for clarity, resilience, and wisdom. I’d love for you to join me and experience what it’s like to let go of being hard on yourself and step into a kinder, more peaceful way of living and succeeding.

Who is this course for?

This course is for anyone who feels weighed down by self-criticism, overthinking, or perfectionism. It’s for those who find themselves comparing to others, stuck in stress or pressure, and feeling like they’re never quite enough.

It’s for you if you want to create success without sacrificing your well-being. It’s for you if you’re ready to gain a deeper connection to yourself and life.

This course is ideal for leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, coaches, or anyone who’s tired of being hard on themselves.

If you’ve tried tools and techniques in the past but haven’t found lasting results, this course offers something different: a fresh perspective that makes living with greater ease, clarity, and resilience feel natural.

Here’s How the Program Works

From March 12th to April 2nd, we’ll meet each Tuesday for 60 minutes on Zoom. Each session is a space for reflection, conversation, and discovery.

Rather than following a rigid structure, we’ll explore a range of topics and questions together—guided by what feels most relevant and alive in the moment.

Here’s a glimpse of what we’ll explore:

Myths We’ll Leave Behind:

  • Being hard on yourself is the key to success.

  • Self-criticism helps you avoid mistakes and failure.

  • Being kind to yourself makes you weak.

Topics We’ll Explore Together:

  • You are wonderfully made. No, really!

  • A story about buses (and what it says about Thoughts).

  • What self-esteem really is (and isn’t).

  • How moods work and why understanding how they work matters.

  • Why figuring everything out might not be as helpful as you think.

  • Needs, habits, and the surprising simplicity of letting go.

  • The power of loving-kindness (and the magic of shining eyes).

Each week is a chance to uncover something new, let go of old ideas that no longer serve you, and deepen your understanding of how well you’re already made.
